The barque Pamir, 20 December 1947, as taken from another ship.
Originally a Finnish vessel of the Flying P Line (see Passat and Peking), she became a New Zealand war prize in 1941.  The Captain at the time was Stanley ‘Two-gun  Pete’ Collier.  She became the last full-blown square rigger (4-mast  barque) to sail into London on this trip from Aukland to London and  back.
